Many times I am told, “Grounding does not work with my child.” And it probably doesn’t because of several different circumstances. You can’t ground a child for six months because you end up being the one grounded. Two or three days just doesn’t cut it. Sometimes grounding them from their cell phone may work once or twice, but they figure out ways around it. The plan below gets your house cleaned and they earn points to work their way off being grounded. I’m not sure where I found this but it is uniquely brilliant for the child who is strong-willed or the child who wants to hurry and earn their way off being grounded. You may change it to fit your family and you may copy it and to share with anyone because they’ll be wondering why your kids are always cleaning your house.
